Local shops will provide you with the essential provisions for self catering whilst, if you fancy a break from the kitchen, the local pubs provide excellent food and warm hospitality – all a short distance from your holiday cottage.

The villages themselves are an excellent base for walks along the coast path or around the countryside and the harbours are the starting point for excursions by boat.

Looe Holiday Cottages has a number of waterfront and harbour side properties available for those who are seeking a holiday as close to the sea as possible. Many of these are former fisherman's cottages and retain all of their charm, and many original features along with their prime locations.

Our waterfront properties are ideal holiday locations from which to observe the harbour traffic and most have outstanding views of the river estuary and out to sea. Many have private areas from which to enjoy the tranquillity of the setting and to appreciate the atmosphere of the harbours.

Rural Life

A few of our self catering holiday properties are located a short distance outside of the two villages in a more rural setting, providing a relaxed and private location conveniently close to the amenities and attractions of Looe and Polperro.

Facilities

Our self catering holiday cottages are all of the highest standard. Decoration is tasteful and all have the necessary facilities to make your stay comfortable and stress free. Despite the age of many of the properties they are entirely suited to year-round occupation with modern heating throughout. A number of the self catering holiday cottages offer log burners or open fireplaces providing an extra degree of comfort and atmosphere in colder weather. An off-season holiday in Looe or Polperro provides an excellent opportunity to visit these communities at a time of year when the villages are quieter and this is ideal for those seeking a relaxing break away from their busy daily life.

All of our holiday cottage listings detail what is included in the price and several have the option of taking pets by arrangement. Generally, bed linen is included but you should check to see whether towels are provided when booking. Inclusion of electricity and gas varies between properties but this is indicated clearly in the individual property's details section.

Despite the scarcity, a great number of our holiday cottages provide dedicated parking which is always at a premium in Cornwall's older fishing villages. Where parking is not provided, our staff will be happy to offer advice on the best place to park your vehicle close to the holiday property of your choice.
